Simple steps to Advocacy

• Use your Facebook, Twitter or other social networking account to post information on STAND in your status update. Become a fan of STAND on Facebook and suggest your friends become fans as well.
• Speak to other organizations on campus and in the community about STAND to recruit help from those with like-minded views.
• Submit a letter to the editor or an opinion editorial to your campus or local media outlet.
• Become a member of STAND and gain access to free resources.
• Talk to your legislators and let your voice be heard. Don’t assume that someone else has already spoken out on this issue – email, phone and visit your elected officials. Visit www.saveoursociety.org and use their web tools to contact your representatives on the state and national levels.
